Convert Kelvin to Celsius

The Kelvin scale was developed by the British physicist William Thomson, later known as Lord Kelvin, in the 1840s. The modern Celsius scale, with 0°C as the freezing point and 100°C as the boiling point of water, became standard. The scale is part of the International System of Units (SI), and it is widely used in science, industry, and everyday life.
